I cannot believe that it is the final week of the 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. This week is another busy one for me as I am turning 40 on Wednesday. Which I am actually excited about rather than apprensive about. Definitely feels like fresh starts for 40.
But first I have lovely week of nice coffee and catch up with mates planned, getting back to the day job after half term. Followed by weekend in Winchester with my oldest friends so we can get excited and sort the finer details of our trip to Vegas next month to celebrate us all turning 40. Followed by a meal with my dad and his friend on Sunday. So a busy week. Not a perfect week to finish the 30 in 30. But if this challenge has taught me anything painting should be a priority and not the first thing to be put to the side when life’s highs or lows get in the way. So busy week or not I will be finishing this challenge as planned with 30 paintings in 30 days – I hope.

Painting 25 – Just a bit of sky
Just wanted to play with some oils on canvas after getting back from my trip and only being able to use water colours whilst away. So thought I would just relax with some sky and abstract as both gave the opportunity to just relax and enjoy and not think about the bigger picture.

What do you like to paint to just relax?
If you haven’t already, you should check out all the other work being created by other artists taking part in the 30 in 30 – you can find this on the founder Leslie Saeta blog www.saetastudio.com/february-30-in-30-blog I have loved looking at all the other work and finding other artists to engage with and follow.
